This is now implemented. Lemmonne thank you for requesting this feature. Let us know if you have any other improvements in mind that you'd like to see on the website.

Interesting! Do I understand correctly that the music will continue in this case, but all notes will be highlighted the same across the fretboard as if they are all in the active position (currently purple-colored)?

Yes that's totally correct! I'd imagine just an on-off button that either enables pattern rotation or just highlights the entire fretboard in purple, but it would not interfere with the backing track playing or not (as there is already the pause button)
