Theme Support
Choose from 12 themes—including light and dark variants—via the palette icon in the header. Options range from classic GitHub Light and Solarized to Dracula, Tokyo Night, Nord, and more. Feel free to make a request if you'd like us to add your favorite theme.
Audio Playback & Position Control
Playing backing tracks is now optional and not directly tied to the position change. Jump to any position manually using the bar above the fretboard, or let it follow along automatically.
New Scales: Mixolydian, Lydian, and Phrygian
Three new modes are now available for practice—Mixolydian, Lydian, and Phrygian—expanding the scale selection beyond the original set.
UI Refresh
We streamlined the interface for a cleaner, more focused experience: the fretboard has a modern look, inactive notes are subtler, and distracting elements have been removed so the essentials stay front and center.
Mobile Menus
Key, scale, and practice settings now have dedicated mobile-friendly menus for a better experience on small screens.`
Today we pushed an update to Guitartonic, uploading a set of original tracks for the Dorian mode. Apart from that, we also rolled out two user-requested features:
  • Volume controls.
We added a button next to the main menu to change the volume.
  • Backing track looping.
Now, by default, if the track ends, it starts playing again, until the user presses the pause button or changes the key/scale.
We are currently in the middle of adding new backing tracks for two new modes:
  • Phrygian
  • Dorian
We have already uploaded two backing tracks for Em as a test, but more will come soon. Stay tuned!
